Winery and Wine Tasting Tour in Sardinia
If you wish to discover local gastronomic traditions, the tasting of the best wines of Sardinia will tell you a lot about us and our strong, proud character.
The first to make it famous in Italy was “the highest poet”: Gabriele D’Annunzio.
He wrote about the Nepente di Oliena, after having tasted it for the first time in Oliena:
“I am sure that, if you drank a sip, you would never again want to start from the shadow of the white cliffs, and you would choose for your hermitage one of those little cells in the boulder that the Sardinians call Domos de Janas, for here you would spongyly live in ecstasy between caratello and quarteruolo”. I don’t know him except by smell; and the odor, unspeakable, was enough to inebriate me.
The winemaking tradition in Sardinia dates back to ancient times and in recent decades Sardinian wine production has been spreading throughout the world.
That’s why we thought of an exclusive visit to one of the most important winery on the island: to offer you the opportunity to taste some of the best wines of the Sardinian wine-making tradition, such as Cannonau and Vermentino di Sardegna, accompanied by a tasting of typical products, such as fresh and mature cheeses, cold cuts and sliced meats, carasau bread, guttiau bread and almond sweets for dessert wines such as Nasco and Moscato.
We will accompany you to the cellars, where you’ll see the ancient tools used to collect grapes, rasp and beat them but also the most modern rooms, where must ferments and wines are aged in barrels. In some cellars it will be possible, according to the season, to explore the vineyards and the surrounding valleys, gentle slopes, where you can stroll through the rows, admiring boundless views and visiting some country churches, such as Santa Maria di Sibiola, dating back to 1200 and still perfectly preserved, a few kilometers far from the village of Serdiana.
We promise you a stirring experience. Are you ready to toast with us?
